Ed Woodward meets Jorge Mendes to complete biggest transfer of 2017, Player already in talks with Jose Mourinho

Manchester United have been given a major boost to their chances of signing Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez after player’s ‘come and get me plea’ to Jose Mourinho.

Daily Mirror claims that Rodriguez is certain to quit Real Madrid this month and wants a move to Old Trafford.

Rodriguez famously snubbed United in favor of Real Madrid back in 2014 after an impressive World Cup in 2014.

However, The Colombian has struggled to play regular football for Los Blancos and is desperate to play for Manchester United, according to reports.

Jorge Mendes – The Deal Breaker

Mirror’s claims are largely based around Jose Mourinho and James Rodriguez sharing the same client in Jorge Mendes.

Reports have also hinted towards a secret meeting between Ed Woodward and Jorge Mendes to agree James’ move to Old Trafford.

James has a release clause of £426million, but anything between £40-50million will force Real Madrid’s hands in to selling the Colombian, who has become a liability for Zinedine Zidane’s side.
