Jozo Simunovic has been very clear on his desire to stay at Celtic, a fact he reiterated just last night, even though the grapevine has been brimming with speculation he could move away this summer.
The big defender has been linked with a move to England as well as Italy, due to Brendan Rodgers’ little use of the player in the second half of Celtic’s season. Many were of the opinion that the club will be willing to let the player go if the right bid comes along.
However, after featuring for the Hoops in last night’s 3-0 win against Alashkert, Simunovic revealed to Celtic fans he is prepared for another Champions league tilt!
“I definitely want to stay and play in the Champions League again. I’m still a Celtic player and I’m happy here. I’m just looking forward.
“I don’t worry about interest from other clubs. I’m here and I’m happy playing games. That’s the most important things.
“It’s not just about me – a lot of clubs are keen on other Bhoys.
“You can be sure that we are giving everything here and aren’t thinking about offers. Celtic play European football every year”.
