Rhian Brewster is delightful after penning a new deal with Liverpool yesterday.

The English youth international has been a top target for clubs in the Premier League and abroad as he deliberated over committing to his first professional deal for the Anfield resident.

Until yesterday, Brewster was yet to agree to upgrade from an academy to a professional deal, giving other clubs the opportunity to steal in and sign him on the cheap.

But he has put pen to paper for the Reds, disappointing the several clubs in his pursuit, including Scottish Premiership champions Celtic.

According to reports this summer, Brendan Rodgers was keeping a close watch on Brewster in hope to sign him to add to his attacking options, but the only way that can now is if Celtic offers Liverpool a loan deal.

After signing his new deal, Brewster took to Twitter to share how happy he is.

The 18-year-old striker made waves at the Under 17 World Cup when his eight goals aided England’s victory in the tournament last year.
