Liverpool have been credited with an interest in signing the Fulham wonder-kid Moussa Dembele following his failed move to Tottenham, according to ESPN.
The 19-year old has been linked with several Premier League clubs after a breakthrough 2015/16 season. The French striker scored 17 goals last season and was on the verge of joining Tottenham back in January.
However, disagreements over the contract details saw the move collapse at the eleventh hour despite the player going through his Spurs medical. The young striker becomes a free agent in June and Jurgen Klopp wants to bring him at Anfield this summer.
Klopp sees Dembele as the perfect option to bring in the blend of youth and clinical finishing which would give Liverpool an edge over their opponents.
Christian Benteke looks certain to quit Anfield this summer which leaves Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi as the striker options for The Reds with Danny Ings still looking to prove his worth following a knee ligament injury.
Dembele will indeed be the most sought-after teenager during the upcoming transfer window with several Premier League clubs chasing after his signature. However, Liverpool are leading the race right now and are confident of signing the promising striker.
