The long-running Victor Lindelof saga has come to an and after Mirror reported a story earlier which claimed that Manchester United have agreed to sign the Benfica defender in a reported £38million deal.
The transfer will see Lindelof sign a 5-and-half year deal and will be paid a weekly salary of £115k.
It was well documented how Lindelof’s move to Old Trafford was halted after Benfica were struggling to reach an agreement with player’s former club Vasteras.
Swedish club were demanding 20% of Lindelof’s transfer fee to Old Trafford, however, Benfica have brought down that to 10% and are expected to complete defender’s move early next week.
Next up – Lindelof’s medical
According to Mirror, United will now begin the process of completing Lindelof’s arrival at Old Trafford by booking his medical and agreeing the 38million deal for the Swedish defender.
