And he’s revealed that relationship extends to friendly conversations with the chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke.
Asked about his year as Kop boss, Klopp told the Liverpool Echo: “I enjoyed it a lot. This morning I spoke to Hans-Joachim Watzke and he asked me: ‘How is it?’
“I told him: ‘Sometimes I can’t believe it. This is the perfect club, the perfect fit.’
“All the Melwood staff here, we really love to work with together. There’s a really good atmosphere.
“This is a really good moment for LFC – the whole club.
“We feel that we’re good but we also feel that we are only at the start of the way.
“All the things we change in this moment for the club are for the future, to give the club a stable future.
“It’s a wonderful place to live and a fantastic place to work.”
