Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat against Bournemouth last weekend was seen as the final chapter in Mourinho’s terrible season. It was then the 2-1 defeat against Leicester, which sealed his fate at Stamford Bridge.

Following the Leicester defeat, Roman Abramovich was due to hold an emergency meeting to discuss Mourinho’s future at the club and now we all know what transpired in the meeting.

It has been disastrous season for Mourinho, which started with Eva Carneiro row then led to one assault on the match officials after the other. It eventually saw the Special One fined and banned for his comments on the referee and the FA.

If that was not it, Mourinho has been fired as the Chelsea boss with Chelsea having to find a new manager. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Guss Hiddink is expected to be the next Chelsea manager until the end of this season.
