Arsenal were given renewed hopes of signing Lorenzo Insigne this summer after the Napoli forward has rejected a new contract offer with the Serie A side.

According to the trusted journalist Matteo Pedrosi, Insigne and his agent have grown frustrated at the lack of commitment from Napoli.

InsigneInsigne was promised an improved salary but the contract negotiations with Maurizio Sarri’s men have take a turn for worst with 25-year-old keen to quit Stadio San Paolo this summer.

Arsenal have followed Insigne’s developments for quite some time now and are contemplating a move for the Italian international.

Pedrosi also listed Arsenal as one of the potential suitors and expects Gunners to make a move in coming weeks. Arsenal have struggled to land a potent striker this summer with likes of Jamie Vardy, Alexandre Lacazette and Romelu Lukaku turning them down.

Given Insigne’s unstable future at Napoli he would be a perfect fit for Arsenal. The dynamic forward is known for his pace and inter-play skills which is essential for any player to succeed at Arsenal.

Insigne is valued in the region of £20-25million bracket which is not a huge sum to pay to sign a player of his caliber. Arsene Wenger can put some of his criticisms to bed by going after a marquee player and for once complete a big money move.
