Dedryck Boyata signing a new deal has become Celtic’s priority according to a recent report with them reporting that the Bhoys are aiming to keep all suitors at arm’s length.
The defender might not get along well with some but there seems to be a growing clamour suggesting that he is going to be an integral part of the team next season.
Certainly, he has been impressed with the Hoops and the way he has performed for Belgium of late and so it would be a shame to see him go now.
According to the report, too, Celtic is looking to convince him to sign a new deal, with Lazio keeping a close watch, though they are yet to make any formal offer.
The likes of Tom Rogic have already signed up for the foreseeable and though Boyata is a different kind of player, he is starting to become very important – especially when you consider the lack of defensive options at Parkhead.
