Premier league champion are about to let go of one of the key member of the title winning team. Serbian international, Nemanja Matic will be joining arch rival Manchester United in a deal worth around £40m.

Matic have earlier been excluded from their pre-season tour of Asia to finalize his future in England. That now seems to be settled as reports have it that he had a medical with the Red Devils.

The Blues are letting Matic go after they signed signing Timoue Bakayako from Monaco for £40m, the same amount they are letting Matic go for. Chelsea have adequately strengthen their squad this summer by getting Spanish striker, Alvaro Morata and German defender Antonio Rudiger.

Coach Antonio Conte is willing to play a more mobile midfielder in Kante and Bakayako which will not give room for Matic to have a starting shirt.

Matic joined Chelsea in for the second time from Benfica during the January transfer window in 2014 for £20.75m under Jose Mourinho and will have the opportunity play under the Portuguese manager again. He made 40 appearances and scoring twice for the Blues last season.

He will be remembered for his stunning goal against Tottenham in the semifinal of the FA cup last season.
