Nemanja Matic is unwilling to continue at Chelsea next season as he plans to force a move out of The Bridge. The Serbian international wants Chelsea to grant him an easy exit away from the club, according to reports.
Matic sees himself unlikely to be starting next season after the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko at the club and Antonio Conte doesn’t seems to be interested in holding tight to the midfielder.
Chelsea and Conte’s worries only lies at his destination club. They are unwilling to sell to a direct rival as Manchester United have been linked with the star. A deal with Italian giant Juventus looks more likely to materialize.
Strengthening your direct rivals increases their odd of finishing ahead of you which is what Chelsea is avoiding. Matic valuation is stated to be at around £40million by Chelsea and, according to The Sun, has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford to work with Jose Mourinho.
Reports claimed the Red Devils are ready to offer the 28-year-old midfielder a four-year deal worth £150,000-a-week. In order to secure a move, Matic has reportedly requested that his future be sorted out in the next 24 hours
And in order to force through the move, Matic has reportedly told Chelsea that he wants his future to be clarified within the next 24 hours which would either give United the green light to go for him or not.
If Matic joins United with Pogba and Herrera in the midfield, United will be a force to reckon with in England and Europe once again.
