While Arsene Wenger strengthen his squad ahead of next campaign, some players are getting their seat prepared on the bench and some might not even get to play at all next season.

Arsenal have a huge sum of players on the loan list or probably exit list of the English club. However, the Gunners has got hopes on the Goalkeepers, when David Ospina made a decision to stay put at the Emirates stadium despite Turkish interests.

According to reports from Express, apparently it took a lot of efforts to convince the Columbian International to stay at the North London club.

Following the dismissal of Wojciech Szczensy to Juventus, Ospina quickly filled the position of First choice goal keeper but his reign was cut short when Arsenal signed Petr Cech from Premier League rival Chelsea in the summer of 2015, and has since then struggled to secure a spot in the first team of the Gunners.

Since then the 28-year-old has been linked with moves away from London, now reports claims Wenger convinced him to remain at Emirates stadium as he will soon be the team first choice.

The North London Manager said: “It was not easy to convince Ospina to stay, but he will play games and fight with Petr Cech to start.

“And anyway, we play other competitions. He wants to play in a World Cup year.”

After selling Szczesny  to the the Old Lady, the French Manager revealed that he will mostly use his B team to play the Europa Cup with Ospina leading the Campaign as they did not qualify for the Champions League, Wenger does not want to the top-notch goal keeper.
