Former Rangers man David Healy has heaped praises on the Hoops for the acquisition of young Linfield man Ben Wylie into their youth set-up.

As quoted by Belfast Live, the former Ibrox striker was reflecting on the deal that sees the 15-year-old move to Parkhead as he looks to take his career up a notch.

The ex-Fulham man said:

“He has had the chance to sign for a good club that will look after him and really develop him as a player, and we wish him every success.

“Celtic is also a club that will look after him and makes sure he settles in.”

He may be connected to the Rangers some way but he seems correct with his statement here.

Celtic has got a great set-up and a first-team manager the will keep a close watch on the young Bhoys so I’m looking forward to how well he develops.

Wylie is a young kid so there’s no telling exactly how well he will progress in the coming years.

He’s at the perfect club for him, where he can get the opportunity to grow and there is obviously some talent around him which will make it easy for him.
