Every week, prestigious Italian news outlet Gazzetta Delo Sport pick 11 best individual performances across Europe and release their European team of the week. This week, Premier League stars Kevin De Bruyne, Hector Bellerin and Pedro feature in Gazzetta’s European team of the week.
This particular achievement could very well turn Pedro’s up and down career at Chelsea. Ever since his summer move from Barcelona, Pedro has struggled to perform consistently. However, the Spaniard did manage to score two goals against Aston Villa and would hope for better days in coming weeks.
Kevin De Bruyne is one of the best players in Premier League at the moment and his return from injury will be an added boost for Manchester City as they look to progress further in this season’s Champions League.
De Bruyne was sensational against Bournemouth scoring with a neat finish and his link-up play with David Silva was worth applauding. Seeing him dominate City’s play gave us a feeling that he was never away from the club, no wonder City have missed him dearly in recent weeks.
Arsenal ace Hector Bellerin was the final Premier League star to feature in Gazzetta’s European team of the week this week after the Spaniard scored in Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Watford.
Bellerin has enjoyed a good season with the Gunners and has been directly involved in 3 of the last 4 Arsenal goals. Bellerin would hope for a place in Spain’s Euro 2016 squad after impressing everyone this season.
Other big names to feature in Gazzetta’s European team of the week this week were Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcelo and Antoine Griezmann.
Ibra scored a hat-trick against OGC Nice to take his league tally to 30 goals while Marcelo enjoyed a stunning win over Barcelona in this year’s first El Clasico.
