Desperate measures calls for drastic measures and that seems to be what Chelsea are going through right now as they faces the possibilities of not signing a potential replacement for Diego Costa.

According to reports, Chelsea have been said to be making a late shocking move for Leicester City Ace and England International Jamie Vardy.

Earlier this summer, the Blues signed Alvaro Morata in a Club record fee of £67 Million from Real Madrid, but the forthcoming departure of Diego Costa means that Chelsea Boss Antonio Conte still wants to boost his upfront squad before the close of the transfer window this month, as they will be featuring in the Champions league and some competitions but Michy Batshuayi is not looking like the ultimate back up striker needed.

The Premier League giants have been linked with several strikers but reports claims that have considered to signing Vardy since they have fallen out of favor in the signing Andrea Belotti.

The English international has seen his form rose in the penultimate season when he led the Foxes to the Premier League title. Although, he failed to duplicate the same form last season. Now he seems to have found his scoring boots this season as the striker scored two goals last week against Arsenal.

Vardy has scored 37 league goals in the last two seasons for the Foxes, he also helped Leicester to the Quarter final of the Champions League losing to Athletico Madrid last season. The Striker will not be starting in the Blues squad as the record signee Morata will be favoured ahead of him.

Chelsea are also heavily linked with a move for the Leicester star Danny Drinkwater, but the Foxes are not looking to sell their best players this season.
