Liverpool have completed a transfer for the exciting forward Sadio Mane from Southampton in deal worth £34million. The 25-year old player has signed a long-term contract with The Reds and will join his new teammates for the pre-season preparation in a week’s time.
Mane’s medical was completed last night and the player was unveiled few hours ago where he was pictured wearing the Liverpool jersey for the first time. Mane also revealed his new squad number 19 as he posed for the cameras.

Mane joined Southampton back in 2013 and since then has scored 25 goals in 91 appearances for the Saints. Earlier this summer, Mane was linked with a move to Manchester United however, Klopp made his move and has brought the tricky winger to Anfield.
This will be Klopp’s first summer in charge of Liverpool and he is doing his bit to ensure he has the best possible starting XI ahead of the next season. Klopp has already agreed moves for defender Joel Matip, goalkeeper Loris Karius and midfielder Marko Grujic.
Mane becomes his fourth summer transfer and perhaps the most important one till now. The 25-year old Senegalese International has pace, he can run up and down throughout the 90 minutes and he is one of the best players when it comes to leading a counter attack.
Klopp is likely to instal a high-pressing game at Anfield next season with Mane being a focal point who would look to create chances and hurt the opponents at regular occurrence.
The £34m price-tag may seem a bit on the higher side for the Liverpool supporters but given Mane’s ability on the ball we may see him take Anfield by storm much like Roberto Firmino did when Klopp took over at Liverpool last season.
