FIFA to punish Arsenal and Chelsea with Transfer Bans, Manchester Clubs next in line

Premier League could be in line to be hit with FIFA’s punishments after probing in to the illegal transfer activities. According to Metro, Arsenal and Chelsea are all set to be hit with transfer bans similar to that of Barcelona last year. The La Liga giants were found guilty of signing players under the age of 18 without the proper consent.

Now it appears that the London rivals have done the same and they will suffer a similar punishments. According AS, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are in line for a similar punishment after the two Madrid clubs were charged with similar offense.

It does not look good for Arsenal and Chelsea, who are in drastic need to add players to their squad after dissatisfying start to the season. Chelsea are lying on 14th in the league table while Arsenal have struggled in Europe and have failed to win their last two league games.

If the transfer ban comes in effect next season, we can expect a rapid decline for these Premier League giants. If Arsenal and Chelsea want to draw reference from Barcelona’s case, it seems obvious for them to get this transfer ban. The Catalan side pleaded their case but despite the alleged good relations between UEFA and Barcelona, FIFA decided to rule the decision against them.

According to reports, Premier League clubs are the next target for FIFA to carry out their investigation, which will see Manchester United and Manchester City being the next two clubs under threat.
