AS Monaco’s highly sought defender Fabinho claims that he dreams of playing for a club of Manchester United’s stature.
Fabinho is capable of playing as a full-back and as a holding midfield player, who has been tipped to move to Premier League next season.
Chelsea and Arsenal have followed Fabinho’s developments in recent weeks but given Fabinho’s latest remarks, it seems that the Brazilian is destined to join hands with Jose Mourinho.
As quoted by Metro, Fabinho said: ‘My objective is to get to a club with the dimension of Manchester United.
‘I have no clue if one day I’ll be a United player, but I’ll keep on working so it stops being a rumour and becomes reality.’
‘I’ve spoken to David Luiz and Filipe Luis about their experience in the Premier League.
Face of Football’s take
I wonder what Chelsea fans must be thinking of this story which has mercilessly roped David Luiz and Felipe Luis (former Chelsea star) for pushing Fabinho towards Manchester United.
The Brazilian has been linked with United for last 12 months and given his age and profile, it does seem like he is the ideal fit for Jose Mourinho and it would be one of the smartest signings of next season.
