Before I say anything, let me take this opportunity to congratulate the Arsenal scouting team and Arsene Wenger for putting their faith in Mohamed Elneny and bringing him to Premier League. Elneny looks a very good player and looks like the ideal solution to Gunners’ midfield concerns.
Mohamed Elneny was given his first start since signing from FC Basel in January, and despite starting his first game for the Gunners, he looked a indispensable part of Arsene Wenger’s plans.
Mohamed Elneny Performance Analysis vs Hull
The most defining part about Elneny’s display was his ability to lose his men and move in to spaces. He was always present for his teammates and above all, his passing was pin point throughout the game.
Elneny’s ability to switch the play served as an outlet to his full-backs, who were sure of receiving balls from their Egyptian teammate.
As expected, fans were over the moon seeing their new signing play as well as he did. Gunners supporters took to twitter in praising Elneny’s performance vs Hull City, take a look:
The game ended in a 0-0 draw with Arsenal fans having to wait for the replay to know if they can go to the next round of FA Cup and continue their title defense.
Despite the not so satisfying result, Mohamed Elneny’s performance was the biggest positive for Arsenal fans. After his impressive performance tonight, Elneny has certainly made a strong claim to start against Barcelona in about 4 days’ time.
