Former long-term Celtic loan star Patrick Roberts has refused to rule out a return to the Scottish Premiership giants with his future seems shaky, and the Bhoys fans on Twitter would love to see the 21-year-old once again in the green and white shirt.
The talented winger has just ended a two-and-a-half season loan spell at Celtic Park from Manchester City, and while he made waves in the first 18 months, injuries plagued his third campaign in Glasgow.
With many attacking options available for Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium, he may well find himself heading out once again, and it seems as though a return to Scotland to link up with Brendan Rodgers may well appeal to him considering his latest comments.
Celtic supporters have been quick to make their opinion on the potential return of the wide man known via social media, and while one said “he has the ability to be our talisman”, another said “I would have Roberts back in a heartbeat”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
I would have Denayer and Roberts back in a heartbeat, however does it show Celtic’s lack of imagination in the transfer market with this Man City connection?

Paddy Roberts was an integral part of the invincible season. Season 2 he was injured for most of it. YES I for one would welcome his return to Paradise ☘️☘️

100% spot on. He has the ability to be our talisman. Last season was very difficult, however a Roberts on form would still likely be the most influential forward at Celtic

But more than the numbers Roberts is just so damn fun to watch. He’s exciting, thrilling to see.
I have never said “you’re bonkers for not agreeing with me” in Celtic By Numbers. But anyone who can’t see his massive talent and further potential is, I’m sorry, bonkers.
