Manchester United’s hopes of signing Romelu Lukaku in the summer have just got a new lift after Everton are considering selling their striker for £65million, according to reports.

The Sun have reported a story earlier today which suggests that Everton have given up in their bid to keep Lukaku at Goodison Park for long.

Lukaku to Man United in £65million?

The Belgium striker has scored 15 league goals so far and 19 in all competitions. His rise since joining from Chelsea has been an exceptional one.

Jose Mourinho sold Lukaku to Everton last summer and in last 18 months, we have seen all the abilities in Lukaku which is required to succeed to at the top level.

That is exactly, United are lacking at the moment in their striker department. Wayne Rooney is more suited to the number 10 role now, while Anthony Martial is being nurtured to be a centre-forward by playing from the left wing.

Lukaku will be perfect for United

That leaves the slot open for Lukaku to join Manchester United and be the difference make next summer. Is he worth the £65million? Of course he is, considering United’s desperate needs of finding a prolific goal scorer.

Another advantage United will have by signing Lukaku is his Premier League experience. He has previously played for Chelsea, West Brom and now Everton and has done well at every club.

It definitely looks a win-win situation for Manchester United if they push to sign Lukaku for the stated £65million next summer from Everton.
