It is not often that Manchester United are the lesser attraction going in to a game at Old Trafford. However, bigger story this weekend is a possibility of Leicester clinching the Premier League trophy at the home of 13-time Champions.
Louis Van Gaal has promised to keep Leicester fans waiting as he is not willing to handover the title to Claudio Ranieri’s men. Ahead of the big kick-off this weekend, we take a look at the Predicted Manchester United lineup vs Leicester.
Wayne Rooney looks certain to continue in midfield given his exploits against Everton in the FA Cup semifinal. Elsewhere, Juan Mata is expected to continue on the sidelines. Many have asked Marcus Rashford to get a deserved rest but with United pushing on for the top-4 place, that idea may not be entertained this weekend.
Predicted Manchester United lineup vs Leicester
There is not much room for tinkering with the United side at present as all the players pick themselves up. Only tweak Van Gaal has looked to make is in the midfield where I expect Morgan Schneiderlin to start given N’Golo’s energetic presence in Leicester’s midfield.
Matteo Darmian could get a start at right back after his inconsistent form in last few weeks. Marouane Fellaini’s inclusion will not brig any negative criticisms to Van Gaal after his fine display against Everton in the FA Cup semifinal.
Front three of Martial-Rashford-Lingard has been constant and they are certain to start against Leicester and lead United’s push for the top-4 finish this season.
One respite for United will be Jamie Vardy’s absence, who has been given a extra one-match for his red card against West Ham earlier in the month.
