Predicted Manchester United Lineup vs Tottenham – Surprise start for two defenders|Fellaini, Herrera benched

Tottenham’s title push will come under serious threat as Manchester United are the next team to visit White Hart Lane this weekend. Leicester’s 7-point lead at the top means that Spurs will have to win against United or they will hand over the title to Claudio Ranieri’s side.

As for United, their top 4 push will depend on whether Louis Van Gaal can manage his incredible record of beating higher ranked sides since his arrival. On that note, we take a look at the Predicted Manchester United lineup vs Tottenham.

Man United have been given injury boost with Phil Jones, Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia returning from injuries in recent times, however, they might not be fit enough to start the game this weekend.

Predicted Manchester United lineup vs Tottenham

Defense: Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo have disappointed in recent weeks where the duo have looked short on confidence and far from the players they were bought by the club.

Youngsters Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson have been mightily impressive for Van Gaal, and the Dutchman could start with his two highly rated options at the back.

Midfield: Morgan Schneiderlin has been United’s best midfield this season and he would get the start this weekend as well. Partnering him would be the former Spurs man Michael Carrick.

Van Gaal must keep a check on his urge to start Marouane Fellaini just because he is fit again. Spurs midfield has class and to counter it, United must start with two of their best midfield options in Schneiderlin and Carrick.

Attack: Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have been regular figures in United’s front line and it would remain the same when they travel to White Hart Lane this weekend.
