Chelsea are on an inspiring run of form since the turn of new year after picking up 19 points from 9 games, which is the most in Premier League. Next up for Guus Hiddink’s Blues lies a trick test against Stoke. Ahead of the kick-off, we take a look at three key questions which ought to be answered this weekend.
Cesc Fabregas and his conundrum
The only thing that Hiddink has not figured out at Chelsea this season is the best position for Cesc Fabregas. The Spaniard looks comfortable playing the number 10 role, while his abilities on the ball are best used when he plays as a deep lying playmaker. We could get an answer to this query when Chelsea play Stoke this weekend.
Shaqiri vs Willian – Better wing wizard
Shaqiri and Willian have been the best players for their teams and we will see an exhibition in terms of dazzling wing play. Who is better? Well, it’s hard to say, given how they have both won games for their teams this season. Seeing their match-winning potential, one gets the feeling that, whoever comes out on top in this battle will end up sealing the win for their side.
Guus Hiddink and his unbeaten run at stake?
Hiddink has not lost a Premier League game in his two stints combined. While Chelsea vs Stoke may look a fore-gone conclusion, it is anything but. Stoke are a dangerous side and can hurt teams in an instance – Ask Man City fans, if you do not believe me. Chelsea will have to play well to ensure Hiddink’s unbeaten run remains in tact.
