Manchester United are fresh from their 5-1 win over Midtjylland in Europa League, however, there is no time t get carried away as they take on Arsenal in the next game. Ahead of the kick-off at Old Trafford, we take a look at the Predicted Manchester United lineup vs Arsenal.
Louis Van Gaal found a new hero last night when Marcus Rashford came in as the last-minute replacement for Anthony Martial and scored two stunning goals. Another sign of improvement was Memphis Depay’s performance, which must be an encouraging sign for United going in to the Sunday’s game against Arsenal.
Predicted Manchester United lineup vs Arsenal
Defense – United have had a terrible run with injured defenders, however, for their game against Arsenal, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo will return from injuries while David De Gea is expected to play as well.
There could be a change in shape with Daley Blind going to the left-back role allowing Rojo to play in central defense alongside Smalling. Guillermo Varela would look to continue his recent run of good form against Arsenal.
Midfield – Earlier in the season, Van Gaal made a tactical error of not playing Morgan Schneiderlin against Arsenal and they lost 3-0. This time around, Schneiderlin should be the first name of his team sheet like he was on our Predicted Manchester United lineup vs Arsenal.
Michael Carrick will provide the stability in midfield while Jesse Lingard and Memphis Depay would look to provide the width and cutting edge in attack.
Attack – At present, it seems that Anthony Martial’s injury isn’t that bad so we do expect him to start the game this weekend, however, even if he fails to be fit on time, United fans are buzzing to see Rashford make his Premier League debut against Arsenal.
I do believe that, injury or not, Rashford will get this Premier League debut after a stunning display in the Europa League.
