What a week of football Marcus Rashford has enjoyed in a Manchester United jersey. He has now scored four goals in the first two appearances for the club.

He came in for the injured Anthony Martial in the Europa League and scored twice, and if that was not all, the 18-year old striker scored 2 more goals on his Premier League debut tonight against Arsenal.

Manchester United Player Ratings vs Arsenal

De Gea (6.5) – Made a decisive save early in the game to deny Monreal, however, slightly at fault for Welbeck’s goal.

Varela (7) – Played over an hour on a yellow card, had major role in first two United goals.

Carrick (6) – Assured as ever, never chased the game, always in correct positions.

Blind (7) – Reading of his game is exceptional, one of the best in his position at the moment.

Rojo (6) – Looked bright until the injury, kept Walcott in check.

Schneiderln (7) – Like Blind, he will not get too much credit in media but played vital role with his interceptions and tackles.

Herrera (7) – Bright, energetic, accurate – More like the Herrera we have come to know in last 18 months or so.

Lingard (6) – Was kept quiet tonight largely because of dealing with Sanchez’s forward runs, had the assist for Rashford’s second goal.

Mata (7) – Little magician played his best game in a United jersey in the number 10 role tonight.

Memphis (7) – I was tempted to give him an a8 simply because of the quick turn around he has brought to his United career, was once again very good tonight.

Rashford (8.5) – Two goals in space of 2 minutes for the young striker and managed brilliant hold-up play and assist for Herrera’s goal – MOTM tonight.

Substitutes – Mensah (5.5), Januzaj (5), Riley (NA)

Arsenal Player Ratings vs Manchester United

Cech (6) – Could not have done anything for the goals, apart from that, no major saves to make.

Bellerin (6) – Quiet game by his standards, was kept in check by Memphis & Rojo.

Koscielny (6) – Ran ragged by Rashford, it was his deflection which led to Herrera’s goal.

Gabriel (6) – Did not look like he had missed football in recent weeks, played his way out of the back.

Monreal (6) – Should have scored that early chance he had, had that gone in, Arsenal would have been a different player.

Coquelin (5.5) – Failed to deliver on the big game, his passing was way off the radar.

Ramsey (5.5) – Like Coquelin, there was no desire to create things.

Walcott (5) – He was plain and simple poor tonight.

Alexis (5.5) – Huffed and puffed, but never could manage something productive.

Ozil (6.5) – Scored the goal, had an assist but overall impact on the game was missing.

Welbeck (6) – Scored the goal, which should have brought Arsenal back in the game but had no support from his teammates.

Substitutes – Giroud (5), Elneny (4), Iwobi (NA)
