Manchester United fans will have the chance to assess their side when they travel to St. James’ Park tonight. Ahead of the kick-off, we bring you the Predicted Manchester United lineup vs Newcastle.
United fans have been crying out loud for some creativity and spark in their team’s play. Whether or not they will get that tonight, but one thing we can be certain of is the absence of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Memphis Depay from the lineup.
While Schweinsteiger is ruled out due to injury, Memphis has failed to fully convince the manager of his potential as a first team regular. Another key change will see Juan Mata playing in the number 10 role with Ander Herrera moving back to central midfield.
Predicted Manchester United lineup vs Newcastle
Jesse Lingard’s return will be a crucial factor in Mata given the liberty to play in his favored number 10 role. Louis Van Gaal needs to play his key players in their favorite position and perhaps tonight is the time to start doing that.
Defense would remain as it is, given there are very limited resources available from the bench. Darmian-Blind-Smalling-Young have looked shaky but they would not be troubled too much against a deflating Magpies’ attack.
