Arsenal welcome their not-so friendly neighbor in an intense North London Derby clash later tonight as both teams look to gain the bragging rights of the city. Ahead of the all-important kick-off, we analyze the squad strength for both the sides in our featured Arsenal vs Tottenham Combined XI. Just a small heads up for everyone, this combined XI will only feature players available for the game tonight thus Gunners will rue the players they will be missing due to injury.
Defense – Petr Cech edges out Hugo Lloris for the place in goal for Arsenal vs Tottenham Combined XI and is joined by Jan Vertonghen and Laurent Koscielny in central defense. Given Hector Bellerin’s injury, Kyle Walker walks in our combined XI with Nacho Monreal getting the call for the left-back role.
Midfield – I was to chose between Francis Coquelin and Eric Dier to play alongside Santi Cazorla. In the end, I opted to go for Dier, as he is playing flawlessly in a position that does not come naturally to him and yet he has won an International call-up with a string of impressive performance.
Attack – What a plethora of talent in North London, our Arsenal vs Tottenham Combined XI sees Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Moussa Dembele play behind the in-form Harry Kane. Olivier Giroud has been in fine form, however, Kane’s consistency sees him get ahead of the Frenchman. As for Dembele, he edged passed Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela to complete our Arsenal vs Tottenham Combined XI.
