Jamie Vardy and Leicester continue to surprise everyone with their consistent strikes and will to win. Tonight, The Foxes are taking on the reigning Premier League Champions Chelsea and at the time of writing, Vardy had given the home side a well-deserved lead at half time.

Chelsea came in to the game knowing that they needed to put the results from last weekend right when they lost against Bournemouth. However, there was no sympathy from Vardy & Mahrez as the duo combined yet again for Leicester’s greater good.

Chelsea suffered another blow before the half time when Eden Hazard was taken off close to half-hour mark. Nature of injury is still unknown but the Belgian hobbled off the pitch holding his right knee. Hazard was replaced by Pedro but by then Leicester had taken a strong grip on the game.

The move came out of nothing as Mahrez zipped a ball to the box and Vardy managed to split the centre half for Chelsea (Terry & Zouma) to head home the game’s opening goal. Home side deserved the lead and by then, they had more of an effort at goal.

Despite an entire half of football to be played, Leicester sent out a clear message to the other title chasers (Arsenal, City, United) that they are equally serious about winning this season’s title as their fancied rivals.
