In the news, Manchester United has reportedly completed the signing of former PSG forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Despite the 35-year-old striker will not be playing till 2018, suffering from a crucial knee. The Red Devils Boss Jose Mourinho has not cease his interest in the Swedish Legend, taking to their website to announce officially the re-signing of Swedish forward earlier this week.
Ibrahimovic formerly signed to Old Trafford in a one year contract, under the reign of Portugese boss Mourinho. Zlatan has since then made 46 appearances for the Reds scoring 28 goals last season. The Swedish International was then released by the club in June after his contract expired at Old Trafford with his season ending prematurely by a knee injury in a match against Anderlecht in the Europa League.
However, the Red Devils head coach claims he is expecting Zlatan to have huge impact for his squad and he has faith in the Swedish striker.
“After his contribution last season he deserves our trust and we will be patient waiting for him to return,” said manager Jose Mourinho.
“Zlatan knows me, and he knows that I play the players that I think are the best for the team. I always did it.
Ibrahimovic joined the Reds on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain back in July 2016, and his currently regaining his fitness at the Red Devils training ground.
The 35-year-old told reporters on Friday: “It was always mine and the club’s intention for me to stay.”
He added: “I cannot wait to get back out on that Old Trafford pitch, but I also know that I have to take my time to make sure that I am ready.
“I have been working hard and will continue to do so to make sure I am in the best possible condition for my return to the pitch.”
Manchester United will be facing Leicester on Saturday, as Mourinho will be looking to continue their winning streak this season.
