It was confirmed that the Gunners signed the Medley when they took to their website to congratulate him on his first professional contract.

The 17-year-old made his mind known when he told the Gunners website that: “I’m working hard to cement a spot in the Under 18s and improving my all-round game, especially heading, tackling and positioning,”

He also said: “I came to Arsenal because I wasn’t getting enough game time with Chelsea. I arrived last October on a trial and after two weeks I was told that Arsenal were happy to sign me.”
