Chelsea target Leonardo Bonucci has arrived Casa Milan training base and he is just inches away from completing his €40 million move from Juventus to AC Milan, according to report from Goal.com.
The Italian defender was giving a rousing welcome on his arrival by the club supporters and he is expected to have his medical and put final touches to his transfer from the Serie A champions very soon.
Juventus fans will be sad to see their talisman move to their rival knowing that he has been instrumental to them winning the Serie A consecutively in the last six seasons.
He, however, decided to move on after the relationship between him and boss Massimiliano Allegri turned sour during the last season.
And that prompted Milan, who finished sixth in the league, to take advantage of the dispute between the pair and launched a bid to sign the 30-year-old.
Bonucci, who was also a target for Manchester City and Chelsea, will join Milan in a five-year deal and will become the club’s ninth signing of the summer.
Having begun his career at Inter Milan, Bonucci spent seven years at Juventus and reached the final of the Champions League. But he will have to make do without European football at Milan next season.
