Chelsea have continue their sale of their youth players by allowing midfielder Mukhtar Ali joined Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on a permanent deal, according to reports.

Ali joined Chelsea from Leyton Orient as an Under-11 and has played through their ranks of the club academy system.

The 19-year-old midfielder has won several laurels including the UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup with the academy of Chelsea.

Ali, is of Somali descent but has represented England at the Under-16 and Under-17 levels. This has drawn attention from Somalia for nominating him for their sport man of the year despite playing for England and Chelsea.

The box-to-box midfielder signed a contract with Chelsea last summer but he has followed the path of a host of Chelsea’s player who has taken Vitesse as their loan destination. But he will now sealed a move to the Dutch Club on a permanent deal. Chelsea confirmed the report on their official website. “We thank Mukhtar for his service and wish him well for the future.”

Chelsea wealth of experienced senior players makes it difficult for youngsters to break into the team and the coach is also not showing enough faith in the young academy products.
