According to report, Doncaster Rovers Boss Darren Ferguson claims a deal to bring back Jordan Houghton to the club from Chelsea is now done between both clubs.
Houghton spent his entire last campaign on loan at the Keepmoat from Stamford Bridge until he got acquainted with Crucial knee injury diminish his spell at the club in February.
Ferguson has been monitoring the 21-year-old recovery over the summer, with Houghton making his comeback from injury for Chelsea U23s in a 2-0 win against Derby County last week. The Rovers Boss was keen to make a deal with the Blues to bring The English footballer back to the club for a second loan spell, now he says the deal done and dusted.
Talking to BBC Radio Ferguson said: “Houghton is all done,”
“It has just been agreed and it is all done.
“It won`t be completed until Wednesday but it has all been done, the paperwork has been completed and it will go to the Football League now so we are absolutely delighted.
“He’ll probably join us around mid-September time. “The last game he’s got pencilled in for Chelsea Under-23s is on September 18, the Monday night.
“That’s the last one he would play for them and then he would come with us.
“He will join us the week of the (Carabao) cup match.”
Houghton helped the Rovers to make an instant comeback to League one, playing 36 times for them until his injury in February, and he was also shortlisted for the League Two Player of the Month back in November.
