Done deal: Chelsea announce transfer of star striker, long term deal agreed

Chelsea striker Lucas Piazon has joined Championship club Fulham on a season-long loan move for the second consecutive season.

The 23-year-old has had loan spells at five different clubs since making his debut for Chelsea in December 2012. He spent last season on loan at the Craven Cottage and has returned to the club who reached the championship play-offs last season.

“It felt like I had to come back and help the team reach what we were chasing last year,” said Piazon as quoted by club official website.

“This is the first time I will spend two seasons with a club. I am excited to see the boys and get back into training.”

The Brazilian forward scored six goals and assisted another four in 33 games for them in the last campaign.

In another news, Ruben Loftus-Cheek has also moved to Crystal Palace from Chelsea on loan till the end of the season.

The English midfielder has failed to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge and was limited to six appearances for the Blues last season.

The 21-year-old becomes new boss Frank De Boer’s first signing since he tool over from Sam Allardyce at Selhurst Park.

The England U21 international has made 32 senior appearances for Chelsea in the last three seasons, and the loan move represents the first time he will move from Stamford Bridge.

He has won the U21 Premier League, two FA Youth Cups and the UEFA Youth League with Chelsea.
