Since the signing of Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal, there has yet to be another complete deal of any sort of player to the Emirates Stadium. As the North Londoners fans are expecting Gunners to boost the team squad before the closure of the transfer window.
According to reports from Daily Mail, Arsenal Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has gone out on season long loan to a Spanish club Getafe FC
Martinez joined the North London from Independiente in 2010 but has only been able to feature for the team fifth time last season in the EFL Cup. Despite his impressive appearances for Arsenal, Martinez has remained third choice for the Gunners behind Petr Cech and David Ospina. Wenger has tipped him to be the no. 1 goalkeeper at Emirates Stadium in the nearest future.
However, the Arsenal third choice Shot-stopper will be getting ready for Getafe in the 2017/18 campaign.
He confirmed him being the future no 1 telling the club’s website:
“I’m always trying to improve myself. If you want to play for Arsenal or be at the top level for many years, that’s what you need to do,”
“It’s in my blood to train hard. When you’re not in the squad and you have to train the day after, sometimes it’s hard because you want to be involved in the team and you want to play. I always tell myself, ‘The chance will come and I won’t let it run.”
However, Arsene Wenger is looking to clear out some of the players for financial purposes to sign more players to the club.
