In the News, Arsenal star Calum Chambers has reportedly put pen to paper to sign a new contract that will see him at Emirates till the summer of 2021, the defender signed a contract extension, according to reports from BBC.
This will be a good news for the Gunners’ fans following the time it takes to convince players to sign a contract extension to a club, with some gunners players contract will expire next summer and the next after that.
The England International who move to Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2014 from Premier League contenders Southampton for a fee worth £16 million, showed his worth in his first season with the Gunners.
However, the signing of Gabriel and Mustafi hindered his progress in Arsene Wenger’s first team, and he was expected to Arsenal with the arrival of Rob Holding last season as that pushed him further to a third choice defender.
