Rumours have been ongoing for more than a week or so now that Celtic are looking to cut Marvin Compper’s deal short after the recent injury he sustained.
The German has only made ONE appearance for Celtic since he joined from RB Leipzig on a deal totalling £1.4million.
Brought in to be a calming and experienced head in defence, the player has had strings of injuries which have rendered him useless to this point.
It’s believed that Celtic may want to cut their losses on the player as they look to reinforce their defence for the rest of this season.
Compper has just under two years left of his two and a half year deal and if Celtic could get him off the books it would free up wages and space in the squad.
This is purely hearsay at this point but it does not seem so far-fetched at this point.
