Mesut Ozil seems set to stay at Arsenal and he’s already talking about playing alongside new signings. Reports also suggest that he might be wearing the no 10 Jersey. In an interview with Mesut Ozil, in which the Germany international speaks about his new teammate, Sead Kolasinac, on Arsenal.com, the playmaker was referred to as Arsenal’s number 10.

The 28-year-old has been described as one of the best number 10s in the world more than once. He wore the shirt while playing for Real Madrid, as well as Germany, and has admittedly been eyeing up the same shirt at Arsenal, currently held by Jack Wilshere. However, at the moment he still wears his number 11

The current holder of the jersey, Wilshere is currently still sidelined after fracturing his fibula while on loan at Bournemouth last season and only has one year left on his current deal with no new contract in sight.

The interview has however been edited to refer to Ozil as ‘our No 11’ but no one knows if the mistake was intentional or sending a message about what the German will wear next season.

Ozil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in the deadline day of 2013-14 summer for a club record deal. The ace has prove to be a quality players since his arrival at the Emirates Stadium has he have created countless number of assists and also help the North London outfit win the FA Cup title twice.
