One of the prodigy of Arsenal academy, Wellington Silva is set to make a move to former ligue-1 champion Bordeaux after a spell in Fluminese. Bordeaux are hoping to have Wellington Silva at the club on Monday for his medical before a deal is finalized.
Arsenal had initially sold him to Fluminese and now exercised the buyback clause in his contract just to be able to make a profit of around £1.5m. Arsenal bought him back for £3.5m and will be letting the youngster go for £5m.
Wellington is expected to sign a four years deal with Bordeaux and it is unclear yet if there will be a buy back clause yet again in this contract which will also mean that there is a possibility for a sell on clause inputted in the contract.
According to reports in French media outlet L’Equipe, a deal has already been agreed between the two parties and the transfer should be finalized and announced by Tuesday.
Hopefully he will make his mark in France to become one of the next rated stars in world football in couple of years to come.
On the other hand, Arsenal will go head to head with Chelsea in a crucial game that will see us win the first title of the season.
