In recent reports, Jose Mourinho has revealed that even if he does not land any player before the end of the transfer window, he’ll make do with the current squad at the Old Trafford. Still the Red Devils has their eyes on the transfer window.
The Premier League giants have been keeping tabs on Turkish International and Tranbzonspor Midfielder Yusuf Yazici, the Reds are said to be interested in signing the Turkish player despite reports claiming Liverpool and Everton also sending scouts to watch the Midfielder last week.
The 20-year-old has impressively progressed through the Turkish academy and was also given the opportunity to shine when teammate Mehmet Ekici got an injury in a match. Yazici immediately progressed to the starting team ending the season with 6 goals providing 10 assists in 22 Super Lig games. He has since become a prized asset for the Turkish Club and has been dubbed as the “new Mesut Ozil”
Confirming the report, Turkish Outlet Fotomac claims that Manchester has known his existence and his impressive skills after sending chief scout Kevin Stonehouse to keep an eye on the Midfielder, after being spotted in attendance at Trabzonspor’s match against Fernabache last weekend.
Trabzonspor struggled with rivals Fernabache, but Yazici put in an impressive performance in the match with the midfielder providing the second assist for his club as they drew the match 2-2 last weekend. Fotomac claims Stonehouse was impressed with the Turkish midfielder.
United may have put in more efforts in landing the player as the Chairman of Trabzonspor Muharrem Usta says the player is not for sale.
“I want to see Yusuf here for our 50th year anniversary squad,” Usta said.
“He will be sold when the time is right, Yusuf will be an ambassador for the club and reach the highest level.”
Yazici still has five years remaining on his current contract at the Senol Gunes Stadium.
