Poland international goal keeper Wojeciech Szczesny is set to complete a move to join Juventus this summer transfer window, according to report from Daily Star.
Szczesny has been out of Arsenal since he was caught smoking in the shower after loss to Southampton for more than a year now.
He was loan to Roma for two seasons. His performance with the Serie A giant has been nothing short brilliant which earn him an offer to join them permanently, but it now seems is been targeted by Juvetus now.
A report in the Sum claim that the 27-year-old goal keeper won’t feature in Arsenal’s pre-season’s game to Chine and Australia so he can focus on completing a move back to Italy.
It thought that he is been eyed as a long term replacement for club legend Gianluigi Buffon, who will be hanging his boot after next season’s World Cup in Russia.
Szczesny is left with only one year on his current contract at Arsenal, so it now looks a bit certain that he will be leaving the coming weeks, with the likes of Petr Cech and David Ospina now willing to lose their playing time at the Emirates to anyone.
Personally, I will say the Poland international had a great impart to Wenger’s squad when he was still with us, as he helped in winning the FA Cup twice and also featured in nothing short 181 games.
