Deal close: Man United in advance talk to sign 28-goals hitman, ace to partner Lukaku next season

Manchester United are reportedly in talks to bring the former Paris Saint-German Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to the Old Trafford, according to Journalist Gianluca Di Mario the club have started negotiations with the Swedish Striker’s Agent.

Signed from PSG on a free transfer last summer, Ibrahimovic played a big part at United, first landing the Community Shield and the EFL Cup and also played a key role in their Europa League title challenge before ending the season with a loss to a cruciate knee injury in the Europa League quarter-final win over Anderlecht.

His knee injury played a role in preventing the Red Devils to offer him a contract extension after his one-year contract expired at end of the last season, but now reports claims the Reds are interested in having him back at Old Trafford.

After the Super Cup loss to Real Madrid in a convincing 2-1 match with Lukaku scoring the only goal and Marcus Rashford missing the only chance to draw the match, United Boss, Jose Mourinho would be looking to have more firepower upfront.

Mourinho said the 35-year-old is close to joining the Reds and the Swedish International was seen with his agent Mino Ranoila in Manchester earlier in this week.

Ibrahimovic since joining united last summer, have seen then scored 28 goals in all competitions for the English club.

United will be welcoming West Ham to Old Trafford as their Opening match of the Premier League on Sunday.
