Luiz’s return to Stamford Bridge was first reported by Sky Sports last night who out of no where confirmed that Luiz has a medical booked at Chelsea’s Cobham training facility at 6:00 PM, BST and will sign for the club before the end of transfer deadline day.
Conte was keen to bring a powerful defender to the club and after failing to agree a deal for Leonardo Bonucci, Kalidou Koulibaly and Alessio Romagnoli. Blues even tried to sign Angelo Ogbonna from West Ham in a panic move last night.
However, after those vague approaches, Chelsea finally got their hands on David Luiz who had suffered a troubling start to the new Ligue 1 season under new manager Unay Emery.
Luiz’s PSG career was all but over after being substituted last weekend which allowed Chelsea to make their move and sign their former star.
