Conte reveals why he started with Cesc Fabregas against Swansea

Antonio Conte decided to start with Cesc Fabregas in the starting XI for his game against Swansea. Despite not playing every match this season, Fabregas was instrumental in Chelsea’s win today.

He opened the scoring and also controlled his team’s midfield throughout the 90 minutes.

While fans could not help but rave about Cesc’s display on the night, Conte was calmer and suggested that he had seen enough of Fabregas to hand him a start tonight.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Conte said: “After one week of work, I try every game to take the best decision for the team and the opponent that we face.

“I know I can count on these players.

“And for me, every game I have to take the best decision.”
