Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic are reportedly in pursuit of Hibernian’s John McGinn.
Celtic is currently being linked to John McGinn, with Leeds United and Rangers also credited with an interest in the Hibernian midfielder who is reportedly valued for £5 million by the Hibernians.
Former Celtic midfielder and manager David Hay has backed the Hoops’ reported interest in the player, and believes that he could sign for them.
While on The Glasgow Evening Times, Hay wrote:“Midfielder is the strongest part of their team right now but I feel John McGinn will be a really good acquisition if he signs for Celtic this summer.
“Reports suggest Brendan Rodgers is weighing up a bid for the player, who is also rumoured to be interesting Rangers and Sunderland.
“Everything depends on Celtic confirming a bid and Hibs being prepared to sell him but I think it is a possibility and I think the boy would come.”
With Rangers and Leeds also trying to sign McGinn, Celtic will find it difficult trying to sign the former St. Mirren to transfer to Glasgow this summer.
