Having failed to secure a spot in the first team of Manchester United Squad, Jose Mourinho is now willing to let the Right-back  Guillermo Varela leave the club this summer according to reports from Express.

Varela has featured for Mourinho’s first pre-season game last summer against Wigan before he was then sent out on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan, but he struggled to impress in Germany, after losing eight months of the campaign to injury.

The Portugese Manager has also not included the Uruguayan in this pre-season and has not returned to training either.

Now Reports claim that Varela’s spell at Old Trafford will soon come to an end after the red devils reaching an agreement with Uruguay’s side Penarol, with him returning to his country club and signing a new three-year deal.

A source close to the player told Manchester Evening News: “Guillermo decided to play in Penarol for personal tranquility,”

“The player decided it after how badly he was treated in Frankfurt. His experience in Europe was not good.

“In 2017/18, Guillermo would have been making only £4,000-per-week.”

The South-American joined united in 2013 in the reign of David Moyes as manager for the Reds, Varela managed just 11 first-team appearances for United.
