Celtic supporters have treated the links with Giorgian De Arrascaeta as nothing.
The Scottish Sun reported that Celtic was eyeing a move for De Arrascaeta who has just returned from the World Cup with Uruguay.
However, the player’s asking price of £18 million means that hardly any Celtic fans can see the deal coming through.
Complete waste of time. £18m!!!

Lets cut to the chase. We are never paying £18m for anyone.

De Arrascaeta is also a transfer target for Newcastle United, but they too could find it hard to cough up the Cruzeiro playmaker’s price tag.
Celtic would have to shatter their transfer record by over a double distance to bring in De Arrascaeta, and that seems a long way off this summer.
The only way Celtic could afford to spend such fee would be to cash in on Moussa Dembele or Kieran Tierney, but Brendan Rodgers is understood to want to retain the duo.
Celtic have been very less busy in the summer transfer market, but are thought to have funds to invest this summer, and a new midfielder could of important following Stuart Armstrong’s exit.
