Arsenal are prepared to allow their young striker Chris Willock leave on loan to get the much needed first team action, according to reports from Daily Star.

Willock, 18 has been at Arsenal since the age of 5 but has failed to break in to Arsene Wenger’s starting XI. He made his first-team debut in the EFL Cup win over Nottingham Forest last month.

Despite making his debut at the age of 18, Willock is unlikely to get any game time given the number of attacking options Arsenal have at the moment.

According to reports from Daily Star, Championship side Brentford are closing on a January deal to sign Willock until the end of current season.

Willock will need to wait until January to move out of Emirates given FA’s new policy which only allows players to leave on loan during official transfer windows.
