According to German publication Bild, Chelsea have been told to forget about signing Niklas Sule from Hoffenheim, despite ready to offer the big bucks.
The Blues have been linked with a swoop for the £30million-rated centre-back but the Bundesliga outfit have categorically dismissed a January sale.
The German club’s sporting director Alexander Rosen was asked about a potential winter deal for Sule. Rosen said: “I can definitely exclude that.” and virtually ended Chelsea’s hopes of bringing a powerful defender to Samford Bridge this season.
What next for Chelsea?
Given the crazy money (£52million) from Oscar’s sale to China is yet to be spent, I fully expect Chelsea to dominate the January transfer market and sign at least 2 players ( A defender and a midfielder) to further improve their chances of winning the league title this season.
